Alright everyone, I know I’m not the only one who felt a little lost when Strate Labs started having those prolonged fulfillment issues and then basically went dark. For about two years, they were my go-to for a lot of research materials, specifically for my lab rat’s recovery protocols. You hate to see a reliable source disappear, but here we are.

Since the beginning of this year, I’ve been on the hunt for a Strate Labs replacement. I’ve tested three different suppliers, dealt with shipping delays, and even got one vial that looked like it had been through a war. After all that trial and error, I wanted to share a framework on how to vet a new vendor, and why I finally landed on a specific option for my current research needs.

If you are doing research in the TRT space, looking at recovery peptides, or just general biohacking longevity, you need to be smarter than the average shopper. Don't just buy the cheapest thing you find on Google.

The Three Pillars of Vetting a Supplier (Post-Strate Era)

When Strate was good, they were really good. They had fast shipping, decent purity, and a massive catalog. To replace that, don't just look for "a website." Look for these three things:

Third-Party COAs (Certificates of Analysis): Never trust a vendor who posts their own in-house HPLC results. I want to see a report from a lab like Janoshik or MZ Biolabs. If the COA is older than six months, ask for a new one. If they refuse, run.

Payment Transparency: The gray area we operate in means payment processing is tricky. A lot of sites use sketchy crypto-only portals or ask for Zelle to random email addresses. Be careful. You want a site that either has a solid merchant processor or a very clear crypto checkout.

Community Reputation: Don't just read the five-star reviews on their site. Go to Reddit, go to Peptide forums, go to Discord. Look for the "long tail" reviews. Are people complaining about under-dosed vials? Is the lyophilized puck falling apart? That’s a sign of bad handling.

So, What is the Actual Replacement?

I spent about three weeks researching before placing a tester order. I tried a few smaller shops, but I kept circling back to OrionPeptide.com (Orion Peptides). At first, I was skeptical because their website looks a little more "corporate" than the usual underground lab aesthetic, but that actually turned out to be a good sign.

Here is why Orion Peptides has become my primary research hub:

The Catalog: They have everything from the basics (BPC-157, TB-500) to the esoteric research chemicals like Epithalon and Selank. If you are on TRT and need to manage estrogen with research ancillaries, or if you are looking into growth hormone secretagogues like Ipamorelin and CJC-1295, they have the full stack.

Shipping Speed: My first order shipped within 24 hours. It arrived in a insulated package with enough ice packs to keep a polar bear cool. Compared to the two-week anxiety spiral I had with my last Strate order, this was a breath of fresh air.

The "Feel" Test: Obviously, we can't discuss human consumption here, but in my laboratory environment, the solubility and clarity of the reconstituted materials from Orion Peptides have been Optimal. No cloudiness, no gel-like residue. Just clean dissolution.

The Skool Community We Built

I know it’s hard to navigate this space alone. You don't know who to trust, and the misinformation is rampant. That is why I recently created a dedicated space for us to share data, logs, and experiences without the noise of the main subreddits.

I started a Skool community called the Biohacking & Longevity Group. You can join us here: https://www.skool.com/biohacking-and-longevity-group-3757

Inside, we have channels dedicated to blood work interpretation, peptide reconstitution guides (don't ruin that $100 vial with dirty bac water), and a running thread of lab test results from various vendors. If you are currently running a comparison between Strate leftovers and new sources, I want to see your lab data. It’s free to join, and there are zero ads. Just researchers helping researchers.

Don't Pay Full Price (Because Why Would You?)

Listen, research is expensive enough. Between syringes, bacteriostatic water, and blood tests, the costs add up. If you decide to test Orion Peptides for your next research cycle, do not check out without using a discount.

I reached out to their support team (who actually responded within a few hours, which is a miracle in this industry) and they gave me a code for the community.

Use code ORION10 at checkout. It will knock 10% off your entire order.

I usually stock up on a 3-month supply of my base research compounds and apply ORION10. It basically covers the shipping cost and a coffee. If you are ordering for a complex protocol (like GHK-Cu and BPC together), definitely use ORION10 to soften the blow to your wallet. And honestly, if you are a first-time buyer there, use ORION10 to offset the risk. It’s a no-brainer.

A Critical Note (The Disclaimer)

Before the mods delete this or someone jumps down my throat, I need to state the obvious. I am a researcher. You are (hopefully) a researcher. The products discussed, specifically those from Strate Labs or Orion Peptides, are sold strictly for laboratory research purposes only. The Product must be for Research purposes only, and not used for human direct consumption. Do not inject yourself with anything you bought on the internet. Do your blood work. Consult a doctor. I am just a guy sharing lab notes about his petri dishes.

The Verdict

Is Orion Peptides a 1:1 clone of Strate Labs? No. Nobody is. But frankly, I think they are better in the areas that matter: consistency and customer service. Strate got too big and the quality slipped. Orion feels like they are still in the "prove it" phase, which means they are working harder to earn your business.

If you are sitting on your last vial of Strate material right now, don't panic. Place a small test order with a new vendor. Vet their COAs. Check the puck. Run your tests.

Let’s Discuss

I want to hear from you. Who have you switched to since Strate went downhill? Has anyone else tested Orion Peptides in their lab yet? I am specifically curious if anyone has run their Melanotan 2 research yet—I have a batch coming next week.

Sound off below. Let’s help each other not get scammed.
